Naaman was a great general in Aram, an Old Testament neighbor of Israel. He sought the prophet Elisha to cure him of leprosy. Elisha told Naaman to wash seven times in the Jordan River, which seemed nonsensical to Naaman. After vigorous doubt and protest, he followed the instructions, was cured, and came to know there is no God but the God of Israel. What instruction has God given that you want explained before you do it? God does not need to explain Himself. Follow His direction and be changed.
